Lahore police arrested four suspects allegedly involved in the Dhampura Underpass shooting, a video of which he went viral a day ago.
In the widely circulated video, condemned by many, the armed guards of a private security company were seen escorting a luxury vehicle, blatantly violating the laws and openly showing weapons. They shot a car rider in the underground passage, attacked and fled the scene, leaving a vehicle and some weapons behind.
According to the clip, the traffic slowed down in the underground passage when the security guards exchanged toged arguments with a car rider on the road.
In a statement issued by the operations of the Deputy Inspector (DIG) Faisal Kamran, who realized the incident and formed a special team, said: “Four suspects were arrested by the incident in the underground passage of Dhampura.”
The remaining suspects involved in the incident will also be arrested soon, said Dig Operations Kamran, added that the action began against the security company that provides the guard.
The suspect violently attacked a citizen named Imran and spread fear and panic firing in public, the excavation said.
“No one is above the law; Whoever takes the law in his own hands will go to jail, ”he said.
