4 police personnel injured as terrorists attack 2 police stations in KP – Pakistan

The terrorist attacks in two police stations were frustrated in the districts of Bajaur and Bannu by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, injuring the police on Tuesday, police said on Tuesday.

According to a statement from the Inspector General of the KP Police (IG) Zulfiqar Hameed, “two police stations were attacked in Bajaur and Bannu on Monday night, but police forces bravely frustrated both attacks.”

He said that four police personnel, including a station officer and three other agents, were slightly injured while responding to terrorists.

“The rapid response of the police saved the police station from a great loss and low,” he said, adding that these police officers will be rewarded for their courage and courage.

The statement also said that the terrorists used rocket launchers, hands, SMG and role -playing games in the attack.

The police station of Baja Lowi Mamond believed that the terrorists who fled the scene were also injured, according to the statement, adding that there were no casualties at the Meryan Police station in Bannu.

Bannu Regional Police officer Sajad Khan added: “All police officers remained safe during the attack, while a search operation was underway in the area to locate terrorists.”

Pakistan has witnessed an increase in terrorist activities during the past year, especially in KP and Baluchistan, after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) outlaw (TTP) ended its high fire with the government in November 2022.

In 2023, a powerful explosion crossed a mosque in the area of ​​the Red Zone of Peshawar, where between 300 and 400 people, mostly police officers, had gathered for sentences, claiming 84 lives in total.

Faced with the growing attacks of militants, security forces have also intensified anti -terrorist operations in KP and Baluchistan.

Last month, two police officers were martyred and two were injured in a suicidal attack in Peshawar. The same day, another policeman was martyred in a fire exchange after the attackers threw a hand grenade near a mosque in Gwadar.

On May 21, two policemen lost their lives as a result of an attack against a police control point in Bannu. “The terrorists launched the attack using grenades from hands high at night, causing some damage to the control post,” according to the police.
