3 terrorists killed in intelligence-based operation in KP’s Khyber district: ISPR – Pakistan

The security forces killed three terrorists in an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khyber district, according to the army’s media wing.

A statement of public relations between services (ISPR) said that IBO was carried out on the reported presence of terrorists in the general area of ​​Torra.

He said that security personnel “effectively committed” terrorists in the place, as a result of which, three were “sent to hell.”

The ISPR said that weapons and ammunition were seized of them, and added that they actively participated in many terrorist activities in the area.

He added that a disinfecting operation was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist in the surrounding area. “Pakistan security forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism in the country,” the ISPR concluded.

Last week, two soldiers were martyred, while nine terrorists were killed in two separate commitments in KP, said the military media wing. According to an ISPR statement, commitments occurred on Friday and Saturday.

In the first, the security forces carried out an intelligence -based operation in the Mahmand district of KP during which seven terrorists were “sent to hell” after the troops “effectively committed them” in their location.

However, the ISPR added that Muhammad Zahid, 37, and the Sepay Ali Shah of the Malakand district, 26, “made the final sacrifice” and were martyred during the intense fire exchange after “having fought with galantely.”

In another meeting that took place in the general area of ​​Maddi in the district of Dera Ismail Khan, the ISPR said the troops exchanged fire with terrorists, killing two of them.

February saw a marginal increase in terrorist attacks, but a strong increase in civilian casualties, according to a report published by the group of experts based in Islamabad, the Institute of Conflict Studies and Security of Pakistan (PICS).

According to PICSS, the country witnessed 79 terrorist attacks last month, which resulted in the death of 55 civilians and 47 security personnel, while 45 civilians and 81 security personnel were injured. Meanwhile, security forces intensified anti -terrorist operations, eliminating 156 terrorists, injuring 20 e arresting 66, he said.
