three caPolice officers in Hungary have been charged with criminal offenses related to allegations of sexual misconduct involving seven women, one of whom was allegedly photographed while partially naked and in custody.
“I stand here today with disappointment and shame,” Calgary Police Service Chief Katie McLellan said at a news conference Thursday.

Const. Tyler Hobberstad has been charged with one count of breach of trust and one count of distributing intimate images without consent.
He has been with CPS for six years.
Shamsher Kothari, who represents Hobberstad, said they have requested disclosure and are “awaiting receipt so we can take the next steps.”

All men are due to appear in court in early January.
Calgary Police Chief Katie McLellan said that while the legal process will take time and limit what she can share publicly, CPS takes matters like these “extremely seriously.”

“We understand that serious allegations involving the conduct of service members, even when off-duty, can significantly affect the public’s trust in us.”
