27 lakh visitors attend international Kolkata book fair 2025 | India News


Kolkata’s international book Fair 2025 concluded on Sunday, February 9, after a 12 -day race, attracting a floor of 27 Visitors Lakh, according to the editors and booksellers guild.
The president of the guild, Tridib Chatterjee, said that books were sold worth 25 million rupees.
Compared to the 2024 edition, which saw 29 Lakh visitors for 14 days and sales of RS 27 million rupees, the shortest duration of this year still saw a strong participation. “Taking into account that this year’s fair had two days less, the footprint is a maximum of all time,” added Chatterjee.
PC Chandra Group also participated in the event, highlighting its deeply rooted connection with Bengali traditions. The position was inaugurated by the MD of the PC Chandra Ak Chandra group, the MD PC Set of PC Chandra Jewelers Suvro Chandra, the Deputy Director Manager Amitava Chandra and the director Prosenjit Chandra.
