2 soldiers martyred, 6 terrorists killed in KP operation: ISPR – Pakistan

Two soldiers were martyred and six terrorists were killed in an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Northern Wazirist district, the military media wing said Thursday.

A declaration of public relations between services (ISPR) said: “From January 29 to 30, 2025, the Security Forces carried out an intelligence -based operation in the General Mir Ali area, Northern Wazirist district over [the] reported presence of Khwarij.

“During operation, the troops themselves effectively compromised the Khwarij Location and resulting six Khwarij They were sent to hell, ”said ISPR, using the term that designates members of the prohibited Pakistan of Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP).

He added that Major Hamza Israr, 29, a resident of the Rawalpindi district, and Sepoy Muhammad Naeem, 26, a resident of the Naseerabad district, “gallantly fought” during intense fire exchanges and were martyred.

Disinfecting operations were being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist, said Ispr.

“Pakistan security forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers even more strengthen our resolution,” Ispr concluded.

Pakistan has recently witnessed an increase in terrorist activities, especially in KP and Baluchistan.

Terrorist attacks have increased since the TTP broke a fragile high fire agreement with the government. With at least 685 members of the security forces they lost their lives in the middle of a total of 444 terrorist attacks, 2024 turned out to be the most fatal year for Pakistan civil and military security forces in a decade.

Equally alarming were the cumulative losses of civilians and security personnel: 1,612 deaths, representing more than 63 percent of the total registered last year and marking 73 percent more losses compared to 934 outlaws eliminated. The general deaths recorded last year were a nine -year record, and more than 66pc more than in 2023. On average, almost seven lives were lost daily.
