2 soldiers martyred, 15 terrorists killed in KP operations: ISPR – Pakistan

Two soldiers have been martyred and 15 terrorists killed in three separate commitments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, military media wing said Saturday.

A statement of public relations between services (ISPR) said that intelligence -based operations (IBO) were held on Fridays and Saturdays.

The ISPR said that eight terrorists were “sent to hell” after the troops effectively hired them in their location during an IBO in the Karak district based on the militant presence reported.

He said that four more were killed by the security forces in another Ibo in the Northern Wazirist district.

“However, during the intense exchange of fire, two brave children of land, Lance Naik Usman Mohmand (age: 28 years, resident of the district of Charsadda) and Sepoy Imran Khan (age: 26 years, resident of the district of Kurram) having gallantly fought, paid the final sacrifice and hugged the martyrdom,” said the ISPR.

He added that the troops “successfully neutralized” three more terrorists in another meeting in the general area of ​​the Waziristan district of Southern Gomal Zam.

The ISPR said that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the murdered terrorists who actively participated in numerous terrorist activities.

He added that disinfection operations were being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the areas. “Pakistan security forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers even more strengthen our resolution,” the ISPR concluded.

Pakistan has witnessed an increase in terrorist activities during the past year, especially in KP and Baluchistan, after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan proscribing ended its fire with the government in November 2022.

Militant violence and security operations intensified in March, with the number of militant attacks that exceed 100 for the first time since November 2014, according to a report by the Institute of Conflict Studies and Security of Pakistan.

Pakistan took second place in the 2025 global terrorism index, with the number of deaths in terrorist attacks that increased by 45 percent during the past year to 1,081.
