Nueva Delhi: Two army staff were killed in an IED explosion near the control line (LOC) in the JAMMU sector on Tuesday. The army said the explosion occurred during a patrol of the fence in Laleali in the Jammu Akhnoor sector.
White Knight Corps confirmed the explosion and said the operation was underway.
“Suspicion of explosive explosive of improvised explosive informed in the Laleali Akhnoor sector during a patrol of the fence, resulting in two deaths.,” Knight White body published in X.
Today early, a rusty mortar peel was safely deactivated in the Akhnoor sector.
The locals on the Pratap channel dressed the rusty peel, near the Namandar village, after which they immediately informed the administration, according to the information received by the Ani news agency.
This occurs a day after the security forces recovered a stash of weapons and ammunition during a search operation in the Karnah area along the LOC in the Kupwara district.
A joint team of army and police carried out the search operation in Badi Mohalla Amrohee in Karnah Tehsil after information about the presence of weapons and ammunition in the area.
During the search operation, security forces recovered an AK 47 rifle, an AK magazine, a Saiga MK rifle, a Saiga MK magazine and 12 rounds. The arms and ammunition remained in a bag behind a food store, officials told PTI on Monday.
The officials said that a case was recorded at the local police station and that investigations were launched.
Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, who is the general officer under the body of Knight White Knight, based in JAMMU, also reviewed the “hostile activities” along the control line (LOC) in the Jammu and Cashmemira district from Rajouri.
The visit of the main army officers to the front areas occurred two days after a Army patrol party was fired by alleged terrorists who hide in a forest through the LOC in the Keri sector.
“Goc White Knight Corps, along with the sword divisions of Goc and Goc sword visited advanced areas of the Rajouri sector for an operational update on the prevailing security situation and hostile activities,” said the army in an X position.
The publication, shared by the body of White Caballero in its official management of social networks, said that the body commander congratulated all the ranks for its vigil and its relentless operational approach.
He also urged them to remain prepared for all contingencies, said the army.
