Pune: Two more patients died of GBS in Maharashtra on Friday, which brought the toll at the outbreak to four as the size of the Pune-Pimpri Chinchwad cluster grew by 10 during the night to play 140 in three weeks.
The victims, a 60 -year -old Pune resident who already fight against a rare neurological condition and a 36 -year -old taxi driver from Pimpri Chinchwad, agreed with Telangana informing a GBS case. The patient, a 25 -year -old woman in Siddipet the district entered the Kims hospital in Secunderabad in a critical condition and put himself in support of the fan, said Hyderabad officials.
Two alleged GBS deaths in Kolkata have not yet been officially confirmed.
In another worrying development, 15 samples collected from private oil tankers who supply water to neighborhoods who report that GBS cases have high levels of coliform contamination and E. Coli, said a report by the Pune Municipal Corporation.
