2 killed as car carrying devotees from Maha Kumbh hits truck in Jharkhand | India News


Ramgarh/Dhanbad, two women died and four others were injured after a car that carries devotees of the Maha Kumbh In Prayagraj collided with a truck in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh District on Tuesday, said a police officer. The incident occurred on the National Highway-33 when the vehicle with six people reached a stationary truck, he said.
Ramgarh’s subdivision police officer (SDPO) Parmeshwar Prasad said the injured were admitted to the Sadar Hospital.
The deceased, Pyari Manjhi and Bindu Manjhi, came from Jhalda in the Western Bengala Purulia district.
In another incident, at least 12 devotees returned from Maha Kumbh were injured after their tourist bus hit a truck in Delhi-Kolkata Road near Tetulia more in the Dhanbad district, police said.
The injured have been admitted to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital in Dhanbad.
