Two women died, while four people were injured after the Jeep in which they were traveling submerged in a ravine in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mansehra district, police said Thursday.
The Shenkiari station station officer, Muhammad Saqib, said Dawn.com That a jeep that goes to the Jabori area fell into a ravine due to the debris of landslides after heavy rains along the way.
“The local people hastened to the scene after the accident and recovered the victims of the ravine. Two of them were [found] Dead, ”he said, added that four others were injured in the incident, including three children and a driver.
He also said that the bodies and injured were taken to the Shenkiari Rural Health Center, while two of the injured were later taken to King Abdullah’s teaching hospital to receive additional treatment.
Fatal accidents are common on roads in the mountainous regions of the country due to violations of traffic rules, treacherous land and poor infrastructure.
Earlier this month, two people were killed and another 24 suffered critical injuries when a car that transported the participants of a wedding procession slid off the road and immersed himself in a deep ravine in Balakot.
At least two local tourists were killed in an accident after his car immersed himself in a ravine in the Kaghan area in June.
In April, five people died and eight were injured when a passenger jeep immersed himself in a ravine in the Mansehra Siren Valley area in the Siren Valley.
